The Six-monthly Medical Examination is commonly referred to as ‘6ME‘.
It is an medical examination to ensure that the helper is physically and mentally fit to work.
The checkup screens for:
- Pregnancy (Every 6 months)
- 4 types of Infectious diseases HIV (Every 2 years)
- Tuberculosis (Upon 2 years of residing in Singapore)
- Syphilis and Malaria
This medical checkup must be completed every 6 months, conducted by a Singapore Registered Doctor and be paid for by the current employer as the helper’s general wellbeing is their responsibility.
